haunter Application
This is your chance to be part of a legacy that spans across the country and reaches back millennia - the haunted attraction actor, the carnival worker, the geek biting the head of birds, the traveling circus clown; those weirdos who dress up even when they’re not on the job.

Open House/Audition FAQ
Q: What is the Open House?
A: C'mon down and see the inner workings of our underground home and meet some of the family. This is a great time for you to learn what it is like to become a haunter. If you decide that this is the life for you we will have employment applications and you can schedule your audition time.
Q: What is the pay rate?
A: Positions and pay rates are based on experience and availability.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: You will need job application information such as SS#, previous employer information, and your availability during October.
Q: What should I wear to auditions?
A: You will be moving around during improvisational skits, so wear something comfortable.
Q: What will I need to do?
A: You will be asked to fill out an application and calendar of availability and you will have your picture taken to attach to the application. Then we will have some fun doing improvisational skits and trying out different acting roles.
Q: Do I need experience?
A: Absolutely Not! Do you love Halloween? If yes, come on out. We will ask you to perform improvisational skits, make noises, and move around. Having a great attitude and a willingness to try is what is important. Don’t be afraid of acting like a fool. We do it daily.
Q: How old do I need to be?
A: You must be at least 18 years old to apply.
Q: What is the time commitment if I am hired?
A: The Slaughterhouse is open from 7pm-10pm Thurs/Sun and 7pm-12am Fri/Sat. Call time is at 6pm every day we are open. You will fill out a calendar and then are contracted to work the days you selected. There are also scheduled training and safety days required prior to the season.
Q: What if I can’t be there by 5pm?
A: Some exceptions including work and school will be accepted, but will need to be noted in your application.
Q: Do I need to attend the training days and acting classes?
A: Yes. The acting classes and rehearsal days will prepare you to be ready on opening day. We also take safety seriously. Training days will cover all the information you will need to keep yourself, your Biggs family, and the audience safe.
